Milwaukee PBS

Website Design & Development

Having recently refreshed station branding, Milwaukee PBS was seeking a partner to update their digital presence and replatform their existing website. A need to move to a responsive design was crucial for accessibility and replatforming to a scalable content management system that would improve staff authoring capabilities and integrate well with third party components such as ProTracks, YouTube and Cove to automate scheduling and video played a large role. Also, as a viewer-supported television station that depends on donations for maintaining its operations, they needed to increase the visibility of online support and partnership opportunities throughout the site.

Starkmedia was able to address these many challenges while providing additional opportunities for expanding online communication. We began by redesigning navigation to provide quick and intuitive access to the content across all devices. Improved scheduling display and program reminder integrations support television viewership. Local Program and Special sections increase viewer engagement and educational access, and enhanced sponsorship opportunities create new avenues for station support.
