Connection
Starkmedia’s local network is supported by redundant T1 and cable
connections, Cisco routers, and 3Com switches.
Our off site remote servers are supported by multiple T1, T3 and Optical
connections from multiple providers and are powered 24/7 by diesel
generators. Mirrored server set up is available in premium hosting
agreements.
Web Servers
Starkmedia utilizes the latest Intel based architecture for web server
hardware in both local and remote networks.
We support both the Microsoft NT/2000 and Linux platforms as well as
Microsoft SQL Server database platform.
Backup
Our servers are backed up daily to various media such as DAT and AIT. Raid arrays with hot-swappable drives and power supplies are also used. The entire network is supported by a redundant UPS.
System Support
The Starkmedia network is monitored on a 24-hour basis through 3rd party monitoring software. Should a change in network status occur, system managers are notified through e-mail and paging devices.
