| Starkmedia and Milwaukee Public Television Make HistoryStarkmedia chosen by MPTV to create "Making of Milwaukee" Web Site January 16, 2005 MILWAUKEE, WI - To kick off 2006, Starkmedia has once again joined forces with Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV), this time for a very special television project. The web development firm will build and design a web site to correspond with MPTV’s upcoming series, "The Making of Milwaukee." The site will launch when the series airs this coming fall. "We’re very excited to be working on this project," says Jennifer Elias, Starkmedia’s Creative Director. "It’s an honor that as a firm in Milwaukee, we have been chosen to develop an online representation of the city’s history. This is sort of an offbeat project for us since it will be our first curriculum-based web site." The site will meet the dual purpose of highlighting the program itself as well as serving as an educational tool for teachers and students. In addition to airing the program on television for the general public, MPTV will also distribute DVD copies of the program throughout Milwaukee area schools and libraries. The site itself will correspond closely to the curriculum guide that is being developed to go along with the DVD. Starkmedia began its working relationship with MPTV in June of 2005 when it redesigned its current site, mptv.org. It is Starkmedia’s hope that the "Making of Milwaukee" web site will become just as permanent a web presence as the MPTV web site itself. "Hopefully, it will be used for years to come by adults, educators, children, and anyone who is interested in learning more about Milwaukee’s rich history," adds Jennifer.
